Annexus Mataro
Wine
John Duval Wines Annexus Mataro is inspired by the Barossa's best old vine Mataro vineyards. It is sourced from a small selection of low yielding, dry grown centenarian vines at Light Pass.
Fermentation occurs in a small open top stainless steel fermenter. The wine then matures for 15 months in seasoned French oak hogsheads. Made only in exceptional vintages, only limited quantities are produced.
Purple red, John Duval Wines Annexus Mataro is medium bodied with dark fruit flavours, bright acidity and poised tannins. Cellaring potential is five years.
